Superannuation calculator for retirement investment
To help you work out how much super you'll need when you retire we recommend using the Australian Securities & Investments Commission's 'MoneySmart superannuation calculator'. The calculator is a simple Excel spreadsheet that produces data based on your selections.
The superannuation calculator lets you test how your choices about fees and contributions may affect your retirement investment over the long term. Like all calculators, it makes a number of assumptions in arriving at results and therefore shouldn't be used as 'gospel' for your individual situation.
Before you start, you'll need to have the latest versions of these documents handy:
- Your member or annual benefit statement
- Your super fund's Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
To access the superannuation calculator, go to the MoneySmart website. There you will find a comprehensive guide to help you understand how the calculator works.
