Our insurance partner - AIA

Together with AIA Australia Limited ABN 79 004 837 861 (AIA), we’re bringing Asgard Employee Super Account members and Asgard Personal Protection Package customers a new insurance in super offer — designed to help members when they need it most.

A simple claims philosophy

AIA’s claims philosophy is simple — helping members when they need it most, making sure every claim that should be paid is paid, and payments are prompt and correct.

Supporting members through early intervention and wellbeing programs

We hope you never need to make a claim but if you do, together with AIA, we believe your health and wellbeing journey goes beyond paperwork and payments. With a proactive focus on rehabilitation and supporting long-term health outcomes, AIA’s evidence based, results-focused programs include:

Mind Coach

AIA’s Mind Coach helps members work through any problems or difficult situations they may have in their life from the comfort of their own home. Over seven phone sessions, Mind Coach introduces a range of helpful, simple tips and tools to help people be happier and healthier every day. The program is available to members when their claim is accepted.

Pain Coaching

AIA’s Pain Coaching is a one-on-one program that teaches members active strategies and management techniques to live better with pain. Pain is about protection. The brain ‘creates’ the pain in response to trauma, as a way of alerting the body and protecting it from further injury. However, in chronic pain sufferers, the pain continues long after the tissue has healed - the brain has ‘learnt’ the pain and become overly protective. Pain Coaching is designed to re-train the body’s overly protective pain system, participants learn how to retrain the brain and move more freely. The program also focuses on how stretching, diet and nutrition, sleep, and positive thinking settle the pain system. The program is available to members when their claim is accepted.

CancerAid Coach

AIA’s CancerAid Coach is a six-week program that guides members towards reaching better cancer care outcomes based on clinically proven science. CancerAid brings together the individualised attention of professional health coaches with a researched curriculum and manageable, but powerful, goals. Members are offered this program when they make a claim and it continues regardless of acceptance of their claim.

Helping members to get back to the life they enjoy faster

We offer AIA’s wellness and work readiness programs RESTORE™ to support members, who have been claiming insurance, to return to the life they enjoy including getting back to work. AIA designs these programs in partnership with medical practitioners and employers.
